"Dinosaur's Egg" one of the documentaries made by the students as part of the academic programme of K.R. Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts, has been selected for the 71st Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, held in North Rhine Westphalia, Germany.
Shri. Sruthil Mathew (Director) and Shri. Muhammed Thamir M.K (Sound Designer), students of the institute are participating in this prestigious festival which receives more than 7,000 submissions every year. As part of promoting Cultural and Educational exchanges with India, the Goethe-Institut/Max Muller Bhavan, Bangalore, a Cultural Institution of the Federal Republic of Germany, is facilitating the students' participation in this festival. Shri. Sruthil Mathew's documentary has previously participated in many national and international film festivals and has won many awards. These include:
1. Ji.Hlva IDFF 2024 Prague Czech Republic, November 2, 2024 World Premiere-Special Mention.
2. Alpavirama Youth Film Festival, Ahmedabad, India- Indian Premiere- Golden Comma Award for Best Indian Documentary.
3. VGIK Student Film Festival, Moscow, Russian Federation November 13, 2024-Russian Premiere- Award for Best Multimedia.
