The KRNNIVSA campus recently vibrated with creative energy as the institute hosted a two-day intensive program titled “Music Production: Aesthetics and Process.” Held on March 11th and 12th, 2026, the event was a cornerstone of the prestigious Masters in Residence program, featuring the celebrated music composer and playback singer, Dr. Jassie Gift.
He shared his extensive expertise, guiding students through the intricate journey of how a simple musical idea is transformed into a powerful film soundtrack that shapes mood, emotion, and atmosphere.
In a powerful display of collaborative art, Dr. Jassie Gift worked directly with the student body to compose a track that celebrates the unique cultural fabric of the institute. The theme song is a melodic tapestry, featuring lyrics contributed by students in their various native languages from across India.

Beyond the Classroom: Jamming and Interaction

A highlight of the two-day event was the Evening Jamming Session held outside the Preview Theatre. This informal setting allowed for a unique "unplugged" experience where students moved beyond theory and engaged in exploratory creative collaboration with Dr. Jassie Gift.

The interactive Q&A sessions provided students with a rare opportunity to gain industry perspectives directly from a veteran artist, helping them prepare for the professional dynamics of working in film and media projects.

The Master in Residence program continues to be a vital bridge between academic learning and professional mastery, ensuring our students are mentored by the very best in the industry.
