Mr. Shan Mohammed

Mr. Shan Mohammed is a prominent Indian film editor celebrated for his works in Hindi,
Malayalam, and Tamil films. An alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII),
Pune, Shan has built a reputation for delivering critically acclaimed and commercially
successful projects.
He gained recognition for editing Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008), produced by Aamir
Khan, and later worked on Wake Up Sid (2009) and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014). His
expertise also shaped the award-winning Kashmiri-language film Harud (Winter), directed
by Aamir Bashir.
Shan collaborated with Kamal Haasan on Manmadhan Ambu and Thoonga Vaanam.
Beyond the edit suite, Shan has conducted film editing workshops at other National
institutions like FTII, Pune, and SRFTI, Kolkata, mentoring aspiring editors and
contributing to the growth of Indian cinema.
