Dr. Ashwin David Joy

Being raised and educated across various parts of the world has given Dr. Ashwin substantial acquaintance to pursue his passion which was to be part of the Cinematic universe through film studies and mass media education.

On receiving out of country exposure and international lessons for 10 years and more, he had learnt that his journey needs to be less of receiving and more of giving from here forth. He has worked in 40+ short films, music videos and experimental films as a cinematographer and other roles. With a PhD in Filmmaking from the University of East and MA in Filmmaking, his areas of expertise in Film Academia are shared with students and aspiring filmmakers worldwide.

Learning is never ending and his diligent pursue for knowledge will be levitated whilst teaching. Being able to contribute for developing his passion is an ongoing journey through which I would like to share my knowledge with others. Teaching and guiding aspiring students is the most efficient and satisfying method of enriching the global film community.
