Shri. Sunny Joseph is a legendary Indian cinematographer and director whose evocative visual storytelling has left an indelible mark on World Cinema. An alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune (1983 batch), most known for his work in Shaji N. Karun classic, Piravi, for which he won the 1988 Kerala State Film Award for Best Photography and Caméra d'Or — Mention Spéciale at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival and National Film Award for Best Experimental Film (as Director) for The Clown and the Dog (1984). He is a former Chairman and General Secretary of Indian Society of Cinematographers, (ISC).
